OAK HILL / HERSHEY HEIGHTS NEW SANITARY SEWER AND PUMP STATIONS
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the sanitary sewer collection and conveyance system for the Oak Hills and Hershey Heights areas will be received, by Penn Township, York County, online via PennBid, until 2:00 pm, local time on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at which time the Bids received will be opened. Bid results will be read aloud at the Township office, 20 Wayne Ave, Hanover, PA 17331.
Separate Bids will be received for Contract No. 1 – General Construction; Contract No. 2 – Pump Station General Construction; and Contract No. 3 – Pump Station Electrical Construction. Bids shall be on a unit price or lump sum basis for all Contracts.
The Work includes all materials, equipment, labor and apparatus necessary for construction of the sanitary sewer collection and conveyance system, pump stations, and other miscellaneous work shown on the Drawings and as specified.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: GHD, 1240 N. Mountain Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112, 717-541-0622. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents via PennBid and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents and solicitation details at no cost via PennBid as described below.
A pre-bid conference as noted in the PennBid solicitation. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

Notice is given that the project for which construction bids are being solicited hereby is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L.987, as amended and supplemented. Appropriate prevailing minimum rates, as promulgated under provisions of said act, must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price within fifteen (15) days of receiving a Notice of Award letter.
Bidders can utilize the PennBid Program without any initial or recurring costs. A fee 0.33% of the total work awarded, capped at $5,000, is assessed only to the bidder who is awarded the project.
