PENN TOWNSHIP PARKS AND RECREATION RULES AND REGULATIONS These rules and regulations apply to ALL land owned and leased for public recreations by Penn Township, so that recreational land remains available to the general public in safe, healthy and usable conditions. Rules and Regulations will be posted at each Park and Recreation area. Exceptions to the these rules and regulations MUST be obtained in writing from Penn Township. PARKS AND RECREATIONS RULES AND REGULATIONS A. All parks and recreation areas are open to the public between dawn B. Lighted areas may be used until 10:00 P.M. C. Parks and recreation areas may be closed to the public because of hazardous conditions. D. The following are PROHIBITED in Penn Township Parks and Recreation areas: Alcoholic beverages and controlled substances Loud or indecent conduct Open fires and the use of charcoal or gas grills except in areas specifically designated and equipped Removal or damage to park property or equipment Dumping of trash generated outside of the parks and recreation area Soliciting or posting of signs Firearms (including air, BB or pellet guns, slingshots, and paint guns and bows and arrows) Explosive devices (whether by powder, air, water, or other propellant) Hunting and trapping Fireworks and sparklers All pets leashes or unleashed (except for assisting persons with disabilities) Climbing, sitting, or standing, on trees, shrubs, fences, fountains, or other property not intended for that use Construction of temporary or permanent structures or additions to existing structures or equipment Washing, polishing, repairing or storing of vehicles
E. The use of motorized vehicles and wheeled vehicles (including bicycles, scooters, skateboards, etc.) is also prohibited except in designated areas of Park and Recreation sites and accesses. Bicycles and wheeled vehicles should be parked in designated areas. F. Litter and trash should be placed in marked containers. G. Recreational activities, such as softball, baseball, and golf, are restricted to areas made appropriate by design or improvements. H. Written approval from Penn Township is requires for instruction, demonstration, exhibition, competition, or special camping events in any parks and recreation areas. I. Any sales or rental of material or services must be authorized by the Township. Reservation of facilities, levying of fees and issuance of permits for parks and recreation areas shall be in accordance with other Penn Township ordinances, rules or regulations. Penn Township Parks and Recreation Rules and Regulations may be enforced by the police. Recreation Board members or employees may eject users who do not comply with the rules an regulations. Violations of parks and recreation rules and regulations may result in a fine outlined in Chapter 101, penalties of the Penn Township Code.
