RENT A KID

Don’t wait help is available with outdoor chores:  The Rent A Kid Program is sponsored by the York County Area Agency on Aging (YCAAA) is unique intergenerational program bringing senior citizens and teenagers together. Senior citizens, 60years of age or older, who need help with household chores, odd jobs and yard work are matched with a teenager in their area who can assist.  The recommended payment is $5 per hour.  Don’t wait until snow is on the ground! Arrange for help with your chores BEFORE you need it.  Call (717) 771-9103 or 1-800-632-9073 for information on Rent A Kid participants in your area.

Rent A Kid in need of Kids:  Teenagers who wish to become registered must be in grades 7 through 12.  Applications are available at all Guidance Offices or they can be down loaded from the “Forms & Documents” page of www.ycaaa.org.  The recommended payment by senior citizen is $5.00 per hour.  However, depending on the type of work and ability of the senior citizen to pay, the teenager may negotiate a more satisfactory rate of pay.  For more information please contact (717) 771-9103 or 1-800-632-9073.
