TIPS FOR RECYCLING USED MOTOR OIL AND ANTIFREEZE
The Department of Environmental Protection encourages used oil collection sites to accept used filters and incorporate them into recycling programs.
DO'S
 | DO recycle used motor oil. |
| DO use a drip pan to collect as much oil as possible and prevent spills. |
| DO puncture the dome end of the filter and allow it to hot drain for at least 12 hours prior to disposal |
| DO pour the used oil into a clean, empty, sealable container such as a plastic milk jug. Specialized containers can be purchased at local auto parts stores. |
DO NOT'S
| DO NOT dispose of these products in the trash, down the drain, or into the sewers. |
| DO NOT put used oil in a container that previously stored antifreeze or chemicals. |
| DO NOT mix used oil with any other substances |
