There are three fire companies in Penn Township.  They are located as follows: Parkville Fire Company, 955 Baltimore Street; Goodwill Fire Company of Grangeville, 587 McAllister Street; and Friendship Fire Company, Pennville, 604 Frederick Street.  All three companies are operated by volunteer personnel.  The majority of the money needed to operate the companies comes from various fundraisers, such as weekly bingos, banquets, and public dinners.  All residents are welcome to join any of the fire companies and become an active member.

   The ambulance service in the Township is supplied by the Penn Township Ambulance Club.  The Ambulance Club is  operated by both paid and volunteer personnel.  All residents are invited to join the Ambulance Club by paying the annual fee which will entitle citizens to free ambulance service if needed.  The ambulance is housed at 748 Baltimore Street.

  POLICE DEPARTMENT

     

One of the six "black and white's" which patrol the Township 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. 

The Penn Township Police Department is under the command of Chief Samuel G. Gilbert.  In addition, authorized strength of the department is one Lieutenant, four sergeants, two detectives and thirteen patrol officers.  Headquarters are located at the Penn Township Municipal Building, 20 Wayne Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331
